The Ripley Academy is a popular school located in Mid-Derbyshire close to Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield and within easy reach of the Peak District. We a member of the East Midlands Education Trust and work in close partnership with other academies within the Trust.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, well organised, enthusiastic and skilled Site Assistant on a full time basis to take a proactive role in the security and maintenance of our school site.

This is an exciting and challenging role, offering the right candidate the opportunity to use and enhance their skills in a friendly and supportive school.

Our site comprises a mixture of older and modern buildings, an astro turf and an extensive playing field. We have regular bookings throughout the year of our sports and classroom facilities by local community groups on evenings and weekends.

The ability to work as part of a team is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a knowledge of IT and the ability to work confidently under pressure. You will be confident liaising with staff and will be friendly and approachable as well as professional at all times. The post holder should be willing to work flexibly across a range of maintenance, repair, security and cleaning functions.

Full Time: 37 hours per week all year round (most holidays to be taken within the school holiday periods).

Hours of work will be between 6am to 8.30pm Monday - Friday on a rota basis agreed in advance (8 hours per day with ½ hour unpaid break - no split shifts). Some weekend work will be required.
