Tibshelf Community School is a thriving, oversubscribed 11–16 school with 833 students, located near Chesterfield on the edge of the Peak District, with excellent transport links via the M1.
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming school environment, to start as soon as possible.
52 weeks per year and a choice of either 15 or 20 hours per week on a shift pattern during term time.
7.00am – 10.00am (15 hours) or 7.00am – 11.00am (20 hours)
4.00pm – 7.00pm (15 hours) or 3.00pm – 7.00pm (20 hours)
School holiday hours organised in negotiation with line manager
Times may change subject to business need, including occasional weekend hours, all of which will be discussed and agreed with as much notice as possible.
About the Role
- As Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, safety, and presentation of the school premises, ensuring that both buildings and grounds are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain clean, safe, and secure school premises, including buildings and outdoor areas
- Carry out cleaning duties, handyperson tasks, routine maintenance, refurbishment, porterage, and minor repairs
- Supervise cleaning staff, including allocating duties and monitoring quality of work
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards across the school
