We are recruiting Social Care Workers at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Casual Contracts only

As a Social Care worker, you provide person centred care and support tailored to each individual’s needs. You'll help promote independence, dignity and choice while working in a supported living setting.

Contract 1 - 30 hours per week

4/5 days a week, 7.5 hour shifts - Sunday to Saturday, early mornings, afternoon and sleeping shifts

Contract 2 - 30 hours per week (Peripatetic)

Sunday to Saturday 7.5 hour shifts - mixture of days/afternoons and sleeping shifts

Contract 3 - Relief/Casual

Sunday to Saturday - mixture of days/afternoons and sleeping shifts

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or commitment to achieve this within an agreed timescale.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Experience with people who require support and assistance with all aspects of personal care, daily living and social skills.
  • The ability to work shifts on a rota basis, and work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays and sleep in duties.
