We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and team-focused Social Work Support Officer to join our busy Family Support and Safeguarding Team. This rewarding role provides essential administrative and practical support to Social Workers working with children and families. As the first point of contact for families and carers, you will play a vital role in ensuring they receive the help they need.
As a Social Work Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating appointments and services for families and social workers.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Assisting with financial processes, including arranging purchases and processing payments for families.
- Managing sensitive conversations with professionalism and empathy.
- Supporting the team in delivering high-quality services to children and families.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent typing and record-keeping abilities.
- Experience in an administrative role, preferably at least 1 years experience within a social care environment.
- Knowledge of the Mosaic database is advantageous.
- English and Maths qualifications to GCSE level grade C or above in English and Maths, or be able to demonstrate evidence of competency at this standard
