Join Our New Adults' Mental Health Safeguarding Hub as a Social Worker
We're looking for passionate and motivated Social Workers to join our newly established Adults' Mental Health Safeguarding Hub, offering a unique opportunity to help shape a developing countywide service and influence how safeguarding support is delivered for younger adults with mental health needs.
As a Social Worker, you'll undertake safeguarding enquiries, assess risk, build effective relationships with partner agencies, and work alongside individuals to achieve outcomes that matter to them. Working closely with colleagues across health, social care and partner organisations, you'll apply your professional expertise to deliver person-centred safeguarding interventions in line with the Care Act 2014 and our commitment to making safeguarding personal.

What you’ll do:
- Triaging safeguarding referrals and making informed decisions on risk and appropriate next steps.
- Providing supervision, support and practice guidance to Case Workers and Senior Case Workers.
- Undertaking safeguarding enquiries, wellbeing, carers' and mental capacity assessments where appropriate.
- Working collaboratively with individuals, families, providers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Identifying, managing and escalating safeguarding concerns, while maintaining accurate and timely case records.
- Contributing to service improvement by maintaining professional knowledge, attending training, and supporting best practice across the team.
What we’re looking for:
- Social Work qualification and registered with Social Work England (SWE).
- A sound understanding of how to apply a strengths-based approach.
- Understanding of social work issues, legal frameworks and social services’ statutory duties.
- Commitment to demonstrating our values and behaviours, showing compassion, empathy and respect.
