You will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and be able to manage a varied caseload.
The post is reporting to the Learning Disabilities Team Manager.

About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Social Worker for our Learning Disabilities Team 25+, which provides support to adults with Learning Disabilities over the age of 25. The post is reporting to the Learning Disabilities Team Manager. We are looking for a social worker who would like the opportunity to work in a team where the focus is on relationship-based work and building independence through a positive approach to risk and the strengths-based model. You will have completed your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) and be able to manage a varied caseload. This role requires close partnership working with a range of professionals and Court of protection. You will part of a team that always support each other. About You
We are looking for candidates who have strong assessment skills with demonstrable experience of delivering high quality interventions for residents, their families and carers.
You will be working in a busy frontline Adult Social Care environment. The service is responsible for undertaking all ASC/social work interventions including assessments, reviews, safeguarding and case management work for Adult Social Care Customers with Learning Disabilities. You will have sound understanding of Care Act interventions along with significant knowledge of Strengths Based Practice, Mental Capacity, Court of Protection and Safeguarding Adults, including significant knowledge of risk and the current research and practice in this.
You will also have had experience building and developing relationships with partners in the voluntary, community and faith sector, health.
Excellent communication skills are critical and you will have demonstrable experience of working within multi-disciplinary settings.
To apply you should be a qualified social worker with a current Social Work England registration. You will bring at least 2 years post qualifying social work experience, evidence of continuing professional development, and capability of practice in accordance with current professional standards.
