Spa Attendant / Cleaner – Be Well, The Spa at York Hall Leisure Centre

We are recruiting for a Spa Attendant / Cleaner to join our Be Well Spa team.

If you are passionate about maintaining high standards of cleanliness, ensuring a smooth guest experience, and providing support across the spa, we would love to hear from you. This role is essential to creating a calm, safe, and welcoming environment for every visitor.

In this role, you will:

  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of all spa areas, including thermal rooms, relaxation spaces, treatment corridors, and changing rooms.
  • Restock towels, toilet paper, amenities, and guest supplies throughout the spa.
  • Assist reception by greeting guests, helping with queries, and supporting check‑in processes when required.
  • Check and record temperatures of thermal facilities (e.g., sauna, steam rooms, spa pools) in line with operational procedures.
  • Support customer experience by showing guests around the spa and explaining facilities and etiquette.
  • Monitor spa standards throughout the day, reporting maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Ensure all areas remain tidy, organised, and ready for guest use at all times.

About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, customer service, or facility support, ideally in a spa, leisure, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards consistently.
  • Confidence interacting with customers and supporting a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a proactive approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly.
