We’re looking for a Specialist Housing Officer to join our Care & Support team at Peabody. In this role, you’ll deliver a high-quality housing management service to customers living in our accommodation-based Care & Support schemes, helping them maintain their tenancy and live happily in their homes.

What you’ll do:
You’ll manage a designated patch, ensuring properties and estates are well maintained, tenancy conditions are adhered to, and customers receive excellent service. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you’ll resolve tenancy issues, oversee estate services, and support customers with repairs and allocations. Initially, you’ll work with Young People Services (YPS), and later you’ll also be involved in Mental Health and Disabilities.

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in housing management, including tenancy enforcement and estate services.
  • Sound knowledge of housing legislation and best practice for rented, care & supported housing.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle as your patches will cover the Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire area.
  • To be comfortable with lone working and willing to be on call when needed.
