We’re looking for a Strategic Transport Programme Support Officer to join our Place & Connectivity Directorate.
About the role
You’ll support the Strategic Transport Team to deliver projects that make it easier for residents to walk, wheel, cycle, and use public transport. Expect to get involved in:
- Project & programme support
- Data management & evaluation
- Financial & systems support
- Procurement & contract management
- Working with partners & stakeholders
This role is about making sure projects run smoothly, stay on track, and deliver great outcomes for our communities.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in project/programme coordination
- Knowledge of transport or behavioural change initiatives
- Strong IT skills (especially Excel & MS Office)
- Excellent communication & teamwork skills
- A positive, motivated, and organised approach
Qualifications we’d love you to have include:
- BTEC/NVQ L3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
- GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A*/9–C/7 or equivalent)

Salary range
- £32,061 - £35,412 per year
