About the role
Lead a small, committed team to make sure council income is protected and customers get a fair, efficient service. You’ll oversee billing, debt recovery, Housing Benefit overpayments, and key schemes like Homes for Ukraine, while driving improvements and supporting anti‑fraud work.
You will:
- Lead and motivate the team
- Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and strong collection performance
- Oversee enforcement, reporting and compliance
- Handle customer queries and support digital improvements
About you
You will bring:
- Debt recovery/overpayment experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confidence with data, systems and problem‑solving
- A customer‑focused, proactive approach
