We are recruiting a Support Specialist at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 Hours
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Ty Penallta

Team: Asset Maintenance and Repairs


This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organization.

We pay an attractive salary of £30,559 - £33,366 and offer access to training and development opportunities.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Support Specialist who will be required to support the development of systems and procedures within the department.

The successful candidate will be required to link into the business planning objectives to contribute to continuous improvement to all repair, maintenance and planned programmes in accordance with corporate and divisional performance plans and objectives.

The successful candidate will be responsible for systems administration and updating and maintenance of Housing systems including DRS and Total and any subsequent new systems, maintaining the integrity of the system.

We are looking for a committed, enthusiastic individual who will fully support the Assets Maintenance and Repairs management team by incorporating new technology in the future development for all work streams and provide support and training to all relevant stakeholders.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A Relevant Level 3 technical qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales.
  • Good customer service skills – ensuring customer needs and expectations are met and complaints resolved in an appropriate manner.
  • Experience in the use of IT software and database packages.
