    Support Worker

    We currently have an opportunity for a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Support Worker to join our team at Haselwood Avenue in Hoddesdon. This service provides day-to-day support to adults with learning disabilities, including personal care, hoisting, meal preparation, and assistance with medication, all delivered with compassion, dignity and respect.

    What You Will Do

    As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in empowering individuals to live independently and confidently. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Assessing needs and creating personalised support plans that reflect individual aspirations.
    • Promoting independence through life skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, and budgeting.
    • Providing personal care with sensitivity and respect for each person’s dignity.
    • Following and contributing to risk assessments and management plans to ensure safety and wellbeing.
    • Supporting aspirations and helping individuals achieve their goals.
    • Assisting with the induction and mentoring of new team members, fostering collaboration and shared learning.

    You will be part of a supportive team that values inclusion and works together to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

    About You

    We are looking for someone with experience in the care or support sector who brings a proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help others thrive. You will need to:

    • Communicate effectively and adapt to different needs and preferences.
    • Be flexible and reliable, able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
    • Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
    • Be committed to equality, diversity, and person-centred care.

    We will support your development with a structured induction, comprehensive training, and the opportunity to gain an accredited vocational qualification.
