Support Worker - St Barnabas

Location: Hemel Hempstead (with occasional travel to St Albans)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £25,857 per annum
Driving Licence & Vehicle with Business Insurance Required

Join our caring team at St Barnabas Court, supporting adults with learning disabilities to live more independently across eight supported living homes and community outreach services. You will help create a respectful, inclusive environment where individuals feel empowered to develop life skills and achieve their goals.

The Role

• Create and follow personalised support plans
• Encourage skills such as cooking, cleaning and budgeting
• Provide personal care with dignity and compassion
• Support with appointments and meaningful activities
• Work collaboratively and help mentor new staff

Shifts: Week 1: 30 hours | Week 2: 45 hours (includes one sleep-in per week)

For sleep-ins you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £52.78.

About You

You are caring, proactive and experienced in support or care work. You adapt well to different needs, communicate clearly and work confidently both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays is essential.
