Join Our Finance Team as a Systems & Transactions Team Leader!

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a talent for systems management and team leadership? Folkestone & Hythe District Council is looking for a dynamic Systems & Transactions Team Leader to join our Finance team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our financial transactions and systems team.

As the Systems & Transactions Team Leader, you will:

  • - Lead and manage a team of Systems Support and Finance Officers, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • - Play a key role in the implementation and maintenance of our new finance system.
  • - Run standardised financial system reports as required.
  • - Process interface files and reconcile opening and closing balances.
  • - Ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • - Assist with month-end and year-end procedures, and maintain the financial chart of accounts.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: A-C Maths and English GCSE or equivalent experience. Minimum AAT Part Qualified Accountant.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of recent and relevant experience in a financial environment, with knowledge of electronic payments systems and financial administration.
