Salary: Band D

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team to cover a period of maternity leave. As a TA2, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils' learning and well-being, working closely with class teachers to deliver high-quality interventions and classroom support. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive staff body and make a real difference in our pupils' lives during this interim period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to access the curriculum.
- Assisting the Class Teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
- Promoting an inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.
- Supervising pupils during break times and transitions.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- An NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants (or equivalent qualification/experience).
- Experience working with children in a primary/secondary school setting.
- A "can-do" attitude and the ability to adapt to the needs of different learners.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Experience in phonics.
