Are you a passionate and dedicated Early Years teacher looking for an exciting opportunity to inspire young
learners?
The Governors of Wargrave C of E Primary School a welcoming Church of England primary school, is seeking a
highly motivated teacher to join our supportive and friendly team on a temporary basis from 1st September for
Maternity cover. Our recent Ofsted inspection graded us as 'Good in all areas,' reflecting our commitment to
providing high-quality education in a nurturing environment.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join our Early Years or Y1 team, delivering
engaging and creative lessons that inspire and challenge young minds. This role is perfect for an experienced
teacher or an early career teacher (ECT) who is eager to make a difference in children’s lives and gain
invaluable experience in a supportive EYFS provision.


Key Responsibilities:
• Teach an early years / Year 1 class, delivering engaging, well-sequenced learning that builds pupils’
knowledge and skills.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of
all pupils.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND so that all pupils make
strong progress.
• Work closely with the EYFS/KS1 team, SENCo and senior leaders to implement the school improvement
priorities (attendance, personal development, adaptive teaching, EYFS).
• Maintain accurate assessment and records; contribute to pupil progress meetings and communication
with families.
• Maintain a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching Early Years.
• A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and assessment methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience or clear understanding of effective approaches for pupils with SEND and disadvantage.

. A passion for education and a commitment to nurturing young learners.
• The ability to adapt to a new school environment and integrate smoothly into the team.
