We are recruiting a Teacher at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Contract Type: Full Time and Fixed Term until 31st August 2027

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Year 3 Teacher who places children and their progress at the heart of everything they do.

The successful candidate will be an engaging practitioner with high expectations, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to inclusive, high‑quality learning. They will contribute fully to the life of our school, bringing positivity, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate as part of a dedicated team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference to pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and wider school experience.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Qualified teacher status and current EWC registration.
  • Evidence of successful relevant teaching experience including teaching practice.
  • Ability to create a challenging and effective learning environment and have effective pupil management skills.

Interviews and Lesson Observations will be held on 1st May. If shortlisted, candidates will be required to teach a short lesson at Abercarn Primary School in the morning, and then attend an interview in the afternoon.
