With student numbers growing from 30 to 94, we are seeking to expand our team of teachers. This period of rapid growth presents an exciting opportunity to make a real impact, as we invest in developing our curriculum to enrich opportunities and experiences for our students.

Job Description

To teach Computing and ICT across Key Stage 3 and 4 as well as Key Stage 4 Business.

  • Ensure the Computing and Business curriculum is well-planned, sequenced, and relevant to the needs of Impact North West Schools students
  • To consistently plan, prepare and deliver high quality, engaging interventions for all learners
  • To support students whilst learning to ensure barriers to learning are diminished
  • Monitor and assess student progress in Computing and Business, using data to inform teaching strategies and interventions
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment, using trauma-informed and attachment-aware approaches
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams to address barriers to learning and promote emotional resilience
  • Organise enrichment activities to inspire students and foster a love of learning
  • Contribute to the school's self-evaluation and development planning processes, with a focus on the effectiveness of the Computing and Business curriculum

Person Specification

Qualifications and training

  • Good honours Degree
  • QTS/QTLS/PGCE
  • Evidence of CPD relevant to this job role

Experience

  • Experienced Teacher of Computing and Business is desirable
  • SEND experience is desirable
  • Successful experience of using target setting, data analysis and innovation to improve outcomes

Skills and knowledge

  • An excellent subject knowledge
  • The ability to analyse data, identify issues, and trends and address areas for improvement.
  • Reflective practitioner
  • Confident user of IT Skills
  • Planning & Organising
  • Able to work positively within teams.
