TEACHER OF DRAMA
(Temporary/Maternity cover)

Salary negotiable within the range £32,916 - £51,048

An exciting opportunity now exists for an outstanding practitioner to join a successful and supportive
team of Performing Arts specialists. We are looking for someone with vision and energy, capable of
teaching across the age range to A Level and inspiring students of all abilities to become involved in
curricular and extra-curricular drama.

The successful candidate will be a Drama / Performing Arts specialist with a strong interest and
experience of teaching Drama. An interest in another Performing Art would also be an advantage.
The school has excellent facilities for the performing arts. Drama is housed in a £1.2 million Music and
Drama block adjacent to the school’s main performance area, the Hollinshead Hall which is capable of
staging major productions. The department has a strong tradition of extra-curricular drama and recent
productions include ‘Shrek The Musical’, ‘Little Show of Horrors, ‘Beauty & the Beast’ and this year our
production is ‘High School Musical’.

Alsager School is a fantastic place to work with motivated and well-behaved students, a committed and experienced governing body, dedicated staff and supportive parents. We offer exceptional teacher training and a full range of professional development opportunities.
Children of all abilities make impressive progress throughout the key stages and Alsager is one of the
highest performing schools in Cheshire East.

We can offer you exceptional CPD - we are part of the ‘Cheshire Teaching School Hub’ and offer a
comprehensive induction programme. We also provide a laptop, reduced staff membership rates at the
on-site Leisure Centre Fitness suite and there are excellent road and rail links to Alsager.
