Clare Mount Specialist Sports College is seeking to recruit an inspirational and motivated English teacher to join our highly successful, collaborative, and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide stimulating lessons and outstanding learning experiences for students with SEN across KS3, KS4, and KS5.

Our school has a strong track record of high standards and was once again judged Outstanding in our most recent inspection. As one of the largest special schools in the UK, we cater for students with Autism, moderate learning difficulties, and speech and language needs. We pride ourselves on our high expectations of all learners, which creates a calm and purposeful environment where teachers can teach and students can thrive.

We are looking for:

• An excellent classroom practitioner with strong subject and curriculum knowledge up to GCSE.
• A teacher who is passionate about English and committed to supporting whole-school life, including extra-curricular activities.
• Someone who can work effectively with colleagues to plan, implement, and monitor strategies that promote a love of learning.
• Knowledge of phonics would be advantageous but is not essential.
