Teacher of Humanities
Full Time - Temporary
Mainscale 1 - Upper Pay Scale 3 (suitable for an NQT)
Required from 13 April 2026 - 30 April 2027 (Temporary Contract)
Pensby High School is an 11-16 co-educational and non-selective secondary school; in a highly selective local authority. We are currently looking to employ a Teacher of Humanities, with the ability to teach Geography, to join our successful department. Pensby High School has seen a rapid improvement in outcomes for its students. We are committed to placing the development of teachers and therefore students, learning at the forefront of what we do. As a result, we are seeing a growth in the number of students across both key stage 3 and 4, with parents and students increasingly seeing the school as their first choice.
In addition, all staff have access to Benenden Health care, family friendly working policy and opportunities for personal development to support individuals in their role and career.
New appointments are supported by a tailored coaching programme and all staff contribute to a collegiate coaching programme.
The successful candidate will be expected to be able to teach across a range of Humanities subject, offering at least two of; Geography, History, RE, PHSE and Citizenship:
Teach at key stage 3 and 4 in the subject area
Display and promote excellence in teaching and learning
Inspire Pupils
Have a commitment to raising achievement
