Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher ready to inspire the next generation of mathematicians?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join a rapidly improving school where ambition, support and development are at the heart of everything we do.

    Your new role

As a Teacher of Maths, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing confidence, fluency, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts.
You will be joining a supportive and ambitious department committed to ensuring that all students succeed in mathematics. Our curriculum is designed to develop confident, resilient and independent learners who recognise the importance of mathematics in everyday life and future careers.

At Key Stage 3, we follow the Mathematics Mastery curriculum, which fully covers the National Curriculum while providing a structured, deep learning approach built around the three Dimensions of Depth:

    • Conceptual Understanding
    • Language & Communication
    • Mathematical Thinking

Our curriculum progressively develops fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills while embedding numeracy, logical thinking, and mathematical resilience. Through carefully sequenced lessons and regular retrieval of prior knowledge, students are equipped to tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence and accuracy.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons
    • Setting high expectations to ensure all students achieve their potential
    • Adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND, EAL and high-ability students
    • Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching
    • Promoting mathematical literacy, reasoning and problem-solving skills
    • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour routines
    • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning
    • Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure student success

    What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for someone who:

    • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree
    • Has strong subject knowledge across Mathematics
    • Is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning
    • Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
    • Can build positive relationships with students, staff and families
    • Is reflective, adaptable and committed to continuous professional development
    • Believes that every child can succeed

We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs), who will benefit from a comprehensive support package, including mentoring, dedicated guidance from the Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, and subject-specific support.

Closing date: Monday 29th June 2026

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
