St Mary’s Catholic Primary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate class teacher to join our teaching team on a full-time temporary basis from September 2025. We are a nurturing and inclusive school with a strong Catholic ethos, committed to providing every child with the opportunity to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.

    About the SEND Teaching Role:

This unique and exciting teaching opportunity involves working within our SEND provision. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with staff in our school’s bespoke SEND rooms and will deliver teaching and learning across a range of mixed ages, predominately in EYFS and Key Stage 1.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Providing high-quality, inclusive teaching to groups of children with SEND, across 2 provision rooms.
    • Working closely with our SEND leader.
    • Supporting class teachers in assessment, report writing, and pupil premium provision.
    • Collaborating with staff to ensure effective planning and delivery of the curriculum.
    • Maintaining close contact with children’s class teachers, as pupils remain registered in their main class-you will be responsible for their progress and well-being while in the provision.
    • Supporting class teachers by attending parents’ evenings and contributing to pupils’ ongoing progress and attainment as well as pastoral care and development.

We are looking for someone who:

    • Is an enthusiastic and creative teacher with a passion for supporting children’s individual needs.
    • Has experience or a strong interest in SEND.
    • Can demonstrate a commitment to inclusive education and Catholic values.
    • Works well as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Is reflective, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development.

St Mary’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. The offer of employment is subject to the completion of satisfactory references to the school, the satisfactory completion of the Health Questionnaire, evidence of your Right to Work in the UK and an enhanced DBS disclosure.
