
Teacher (MPS)
The Governors of Monks Coppenhall Academy seek to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic, and self-motivated 1.0 FTE Year 4 class teacher.
This is a temporary position to cover the maternity leave of the current postholder. The position will commence on 1st January 2026.
It is expected the contract will end in July 2026 when the postholder returns.
The successful candidate will work under the guidance of a class teacher mentor and the supervision of a member of the leadership team.

The successful candidate must: -
- Have a track record of excellence in their classroom practice;
- Have previous experience in PE subject leadership, or be willing to take on a leadership role in our PE Team;
- Have ambition, drive and a passion for learning;
- Promote and lead high expectations of learning, achievement and behaviour through positive classroom management;
- Be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team;
- Be able to provide exciting and stimulating learning opportunities for all children;
- Demonstrate an excellent understanding of the National Curriculum;
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to parental and community involvement;
- Have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos.

*As this is a two term contract this role is unsuitable for ECTs
