The Learning Partnership, together with the Principal, is delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a Y1 Teacher to join our team. We are looking for a skilled candidate who is committed to our vision and values, is reliable and resilient, and is passionate about helping our pupils thrive. The successful applicant will have key experience in working in key stage one and have sound knowledge of pupil transition from Early Years’ to KS1.

What does the role involve?

  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school’s plans, curriculum and schemes of work.
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment.
  • Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils and demonstrate good subject and National Curriculum knowledge.
  • Maintain good order and discipline among pupils, managing behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues on curriculum and pupil development to secure co-ordinated outcomes.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s policies, practices and procedures, to support the school’s values and vision.

The successful applicant will have a high level of expertise of the National Curriculum and its effective delivery. They will demonstrate a sound understanding of children’s attitudes and achievements, along with proven experience in developing and implementing effective behaviour management strategies.

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be eligible to work in the UK.

Formed of two local trusts on 1st September 2023, The Learning Alliance and The Learning for Life Partnership, The Learning Partnership is a diverse new multi-academy trust delivering excellent educational provision for pupils in primary and secondary schools across the North-West.
