Greenbank School, is a growing school of 133 pupils, aged 11 – 18 years. Pupils present with a range of learning needs, primarily Autism and associated learning and communication needs.

The ability to teach English and Mathematics and co-ordinate a Foundation subject, with established Autism strategies will be essential. The post is mainly based within Key Stage 4 delivering English and Mathematics in the morning and the wider Curriculum (Formal and Holistic) to KS3 and KS4 pupils in the afternoon. A secure knowledge of phonics teaching is essential, evidence of which should be detailed in an application.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher to support a growing school in the delivery and development of our Dual Curriculum which will involve the following:

  • To plan, implement, deliver and coordinate an appropriate and adaptive curriculum.
  • To support the Numeracy & Literacy faculty coordinators in the ongoing development of the core curriculum.
  • Ensure that all students make the best possible progress in all areas of teaching and learning, curriculum, behavioural, personal, social and emotional development.
  • Deployment of effective and consistent Autism strategies.
  • To monitor and assess pupil progress to improve their quality of learning and personal growth.
  • To undertake the professional duties outlined above by having regard to National Teaching Standards.
  • To be able to offer a second subject within the Foundation subjects of the National Curriculum.
