Join Us and Make a Meaningful Difference

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher eager to inspire and support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs? At Archers Brook Residential SEMH School, we are committed to helping every pupil grow in confidence, resilience, and self-belief. If you want to be part of a school where your work truly changes lives and where you can develop professionally in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, this is the role for you.

About Archers Brook Residential SEMH School

We are a maintained special school, proudly following the OFSTED inspection framework, with a clear vision:
“We are learning today to be successful tomorrow.”

Archers Brook School provides a holistic, pupil centered, curriculum for learners in years 5 to 11 with social emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

Learners access a differentiated curriculum that creates an aspirational high achievement culture, raises standards of attainment, takes into account individual needs and styles, allows everyone to experience success and prepares our Children and Young People well for the next stage of their life. Almost all pupils have a primary need of SEMH stated on their EHCP, yet many have a further diagnosis of ASC, ADHD, FASD or ODD.

Pupils at Archers Brook may experience delays in learning due to their SEMH rather than a SpLD, and therefore benefit from a blended curriculum that allows young people to either access GCSE’s (English, Maths, Science and Art) alongside vocational qualification, or Entry level.

Our approach is centred around:

  • Planning thoughtfully for each pupil’s future
  • Helping pupils express themselves and understand others’ feelings
  • Building confidence, resilience, and self-respect
  • Encouraging positive attitudes and responsibility for actions

Our school community is driven by high expectations and a commitment to continuous improvement. We are passionate about creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive academically and personally.

Archers Brook School is pupil centered with a focus on the whole learning experience and developing skills that enable our young learners to successfully transition into Post 16 education with resilience, self-regulation and a determination to succeed.

Archers Brook SEMH Residential School is in an exciting phase. We are eager to appoint exceptional individuals who wish to make a significant contribution to the learning and lives of our students. We have a proven track record of working with and developing early career teachers and those ready for promotion.
