The school makes excellent use of its vast grounds, including a Forest School area, for all classes to use. It is a loving, thriving and vibrant community which encourages children to grow morally, spiritually and intellectually.

The school is part of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Academy Trust and is also a feeder school to our partner All Hallows Catholic College in Macclesfield.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated & enthusiastic Teacher to join Saint Mary’s in either a KS1 or KS2 class. This is a temporary position.

We are looking for a KS1 or KS2 Teacher with:

  • Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievement and behaviour
  • The ability to plan & deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum
  • Dedication to ensure that all our children achieve their potential
  • Committed to and have a strong belief in teamwork
  • An empathy and an understanding of the Christian Faith and what it means to work in a Faith school
  • Contribute to the values, ethos and development of our school and the wider community

We can offer:

  • A hardworking and professional team with dedicated, experienced and supportive staff, SLT and Governors
  • Excellent CPD opportunities to develop all aspects of your professional practice
  • An exciting environment to work in, with excellent resources and vast school grounds
  • A welcoming, friendly and inclusive school with happy children who are eager to learn

The successful candidate will need to evidence their knowledge for providing high standards of teaching whilst demonstrating an ability to motivate and support all learners.

Visits to the school can be arranged by contacting the school either by email or telephone.

If you wish to apply for the position, please complete the Catholic Education Service application form which is available via our website and included with the advert documentation.

When completing the form please relate your experience, skills, personal qualities and training to the person specification.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share and uphold this commitment. Applicants will be required to undertake pre-employment checks which will include references, Health, Right to Work in the UK, DBS and school staff Disqualification Declaration.
