Teaching and Learning Assistant

Etwall Primary School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team. We welcome applications from those qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 who are passionate about helping children thrive across the primary age range.

We are a warm and welcoming school with wonderful children who love to learn and a staff team who work closely together to ensure every child feels valued, confident and ready to succeed. We set high expectations, and we support one another every step of the way.

This varied and rewarding role may include 1:1 support, small‑group intervention work, whole‑class support, lunchtime SEND duties and helping a small number of pupils with ‘soft starts’. The post is 26 hours per week, worked over four days, likely Tuesday to Friday. Although this is a temporary position in the first instance, we are expecting funding in the summer term which would convert this to a permanent position.
