Teaching Assistant required for September 2025, Term Time Only, initially on a 1 year temporary contract with a view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.
The Governors of Moorfield Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school and who shares our vision for providing a first-class education and instilling all our children with a love of learning. The successful candidate will provide classroom support, with pastoral responsibilities.
We are looking for someone to join our team and be:

and who will:
- support and uphold the school’s vision and values
- help children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs to learn as effectively and independently as possible, both individually and in small groups
- prepare materials and resources to support individuals, small groups and classroom activities
- work with children on individual targets in reading, writing and maths
- support children’s emotional development and resilience when approaching learning tasks
- support children’s behaviour in line with the school’s vision, values and positive behaviour policy
- assist with children in the playground as required
- have an awareness of and adherence to all school safeguarding procedures and participate in training as appropriate
- undertake intimate care
- commit to ELSA training

Salary range
- £24,790 - £25,183 per year
