Ridgeway is a popular and oversubscribed school. The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and conscientious teaching assistant to work with students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

We offer:

  • Enthusiastic and motivated students, staff and governors
  • A school that considers staff wellbeing in all major decision-making, as recognised by Investors in People
  • Understand the importance of balancing work and life
  • A school day that supports wellbeing and a family-friendly approach
  • A caring, inclusive and supportive environment in which learning thrives
  • An ethos of supporting every student to fulfil their aspirations

The successful applicant will:

  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Possess a 'can-do' attitude
  • Share our passion for wanting the best for all of the students and families that we serve
  • Have a relentless commitment to reducing barriers to learning and attendance to school

An application pack can be obtained from the Headteacher's PA, Helen Lynn, by email at
lynnh@ridgeway.wirral.sch.uk.

Completed applications along with a letter of application no more than one side of A4 are to be submitted no later than 9am on Tuesday 7 July. Interviews are expected to take place shortly after the deadline.

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS check. Ridgeway High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.
