Teaching Assistant – EYFS & KS1
Location: Acton CE Primary Academy, Acton, Nantwich, CW5 8LG
Contract Type: Full-time Term Time Only, Temporary, in the first instance until 31/8/26
Salary: Dependent upon experience
Are you passionate about supporting young children in their early learning journey? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join our caring primary school team, working primarily with children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to pupils across EYFS and KS1, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
- Assist in delivering high-quality phonics, early maths activities and engaging them in wider learning experiences.
- Support children’s emotional well-being and social development through positive relationships and nurturing interactions.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Be willing to undertake first aid training and contribute to the overall care and safety of pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young children, ideally in a school or early years setting.
- Knowledge of phonics programmes (we use Read Write Inc.) and early maths strategies is a strong advantage.
- A caring, kind, patient and enthusiastic approach to supporting children’s learning and development.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
