TEACHING ASSISTANT
32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Term Time Only) 8:30 – 3:30
Temporary in the first instance
Salary: Grade 4 £24,404 pro rata per annum
The Governors of St Theresa’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced Teaching Assistantfor our one form entry primary school. We are looking for a keen, self-motivated person who will work with honesty and integrity and help to maintain the excellent reputation of the school within the community. The school will offer you a friendly, hardworking environment with happy children and an enthusiastic, dedicated staff team.
The successful candidate will need to build a caring, supportive relationship with all children, enabling them to participate happily and productively. You will be required to work closely with class teachers and the school SENCo.
Experience of Early Years and Key Stage 1 would be preferable.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure that pupils receive targeted support, appropriate to their needs under the direction of the Class Teacher and SENCo.
- To assist with the planning and implementation of any individual programmes of work.
- To assist in the monitoring of pupils in areas of learning and keep records as per school policy.
- Develop a good working relationship with pupils, families and other professionals.
- To supervise children during break and lunchtime
