We wish to appoint a kind, caring Teaching Assistant to join our small primary school.

This post is Grade 4, 32.5 hours per week, 8.30 – 3.30 daily.

Starting as soon as possible.

You will be an essential part of our team assisting the Class Teacher and wider team in delivering lessons and supporting students. You will be part of our children’s learning journey creating a safe and supported environment for them to flourish in their education and equipping them with lifelong learning skills.

You could expect to:

  • Support an individual class Teacher in preparing individual programmes and learning materials appropriate to the needs of the learners
  • Support the delivery of individual student programmes and learning interventions
  • Understand the communication and support needs of individual students to enable and facilitate their learning
  • Support student in their lunchtime and break times to ensure children are safe and happy

What you need to do the role-

  • Ability and commitment to work as part of a team
  • Ability to contribute to and follow plans set by teachers
  • Willingness to undertake training
  • Experience in working with Children with SEND in an educational setting preferred
  • Enthusiastic about making a difference to the lives of our SEND children
  • Enhanced DBS check and references

You will be made to feel very welcome in our unique setting and will be offered support and guidance from our friendly, experienced staff. However, we would also expect you to use your own initiative, knowledge and experience.

Styal is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure.
