Teaching Assistant

Grade 5 SCP 6 - £25,989 (Actual Salary £10,038)

17 Hours per week, 38 weeks per year. Monday to Friday each week.

Hartford Primary School are recruiting a Teaching Assistant, with proven experience. This is a part time role working 17 hours a week, term time only, Grade 5. This is a temporary role, with the possibility to become permanent.

The individual needs to be a strong team player, enthusiastic, patient, flexible and passionate about not only working with children, but helping them be the best they can be. The role will involve working with a diverse set of children, experience of SEN would also be desirable. NVQ Level 2 is essential, level 3 is desirable.

We would expect the individual to have:

• GCSE Math and English (or equivalent) at Grade C+
• Competent IT Skills
• Knowledge of phonics, letters and sound formation
• Excellent personal and communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to work independently recording children’s progress
