    EYFS Teaching Assistant

    Location: Rode Heath Primary School

    Salary: Grade 4 - £13.47 per hour

    Contract: 1 year initially - 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only, 38 weeks per year)

    Working Pattern: Full Time/Term Time Only

    DBS Check: Enhanced

    We have a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated practitioner to join our outstanding Early Years team. The role is based in Reception and involves working with some of our youngest learners, helping to create a nurturing and dynamic learning environment that supports every child to thrive.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Support the delivery of our high-quality EYFS curriculum.
    • Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment for all children.
    • Work 1:1 and with small groups to scaffold learning and support children to achieve their developmental milestones.
    • Provide high-quality interactions to develop communication and language.
    • Support personal care and independence skills.
    • Observe, assess and contribute to tracking children’s progress.
    • Deliver interventions including Phonics, early Maths and SEND programmes.
    • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all children.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Teaching Assistant / Learning Support.
    • Experience working within a Reception Class or Pre-School Early Years setting.
    • A secure understanding of the EYFS Framework.
    • Experience delivering phonics, key early learning interventions and SALT programmes.
    • Experience supporting children with SEND.
    • The ability to plan for and track the progress of key children.
    • An enthusiastic and dedicated personality with a genuine passion for working with young children.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to build warm, positive relationships.
