Greenbank School is a purpose built school catering for 33 pupils, age 11 – 18 years. Pupils present with a range of learning needs: Autism, Social and Communication needs.

Greenbank also has an education residential provision which is used as a short break facility for pupils who attend Greenbank School.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to develop their career:

Principle Responsibilities

  1. Assist, support and implement the overall vision, values and ethos of the school.
  2. Motivate pupils using a range of autism strategies.
  3. Provide a good role model.
  4. Support teaching and learning (including delivery of accredited courses).
  5. Support the assessment, recording and reporting process.
  6. To work closely with students who require additional support using autism strategies.
  7. To provide curriculum teaching and learning support for students, including the collation of evidence of progression.
  8. Ensure that all students make the best possible progress in all areas of teaching and learning, curriculum, behavioural, personal, social and emotional development.
  9. Support the importance of target setting and pupil data collection.
  10. To provide support to teachers and other school staff, working directly with pupils, ensuring that the relevant programmes of professional development is enabled and facilitated to ensure continued improvement and raised standards.
  11. Be able to effectively plan, deliver and evaluate curriculum material under the guidance of a class manager.
  12. To ensure all Health and Safety arrangements are effectively implanted, including child protection, all aspects of safe-guarding, well-being and pupil behaviour.
  13. To make sure supervision is effective at all times including the start and end of the day, break and lunch times and during P.E.
  14. To work closely with parents and carers.
  15. Undertake any other professional duties delegated by the Head Teacher.
