Job Vacancy: Grade 4 Teaching Assistant

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term time only, 38 weeks per year)
Salary: Grade 4 SCP 5 – £13.47 per hour
Contract: Temporary – 1 year

Rode Heath Primary School is seeking a passionate, energetic and dedicated Grade 4 Teaching Assistant to join our warm and welcoming school community. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in class and delivering targeted interventions that make a real difference.

  • Has experience working with primary-aged children, especially those with special educational needs.
  • Communicates confidently and kindly with both children and adults.
  • Brings creativity, initiative, and a positive approach to problem-solving.
  • Shares our school values and always puts children at the heart of their work.
  • Works well as part of a team but can also use their own initiative.
  • Has a good sense of humour and a resilient, can-do attitude.
  • Acts as a positive role model at all times.
  • Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (desirable).
  • Is committed to safeguarding, confidentiality, and promoting the welfare of children.
