Salary dependant on experience. At least grade: 4 £23,114 - £23,893 (SCP 4-6) pro rata.
Hours; 35 hrs. per week (8:30am – 4.00pm), term time only
The Governors of The Acorns Primary & Nursery School wish to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work withs in our Early Years setting.
We are looking for someone with who can:
- Demonstrate prior experience caring for / working with young people
- Ideally, have experience in Early Years and have knowledge and practical experience to support children in developing early reading skills.
- Demonstrate experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs including carrying out intimate personal care
- Support whole class teaching and learning, whilst being able to support small group intervention to help pupils make rapid progress.
- Take the initiative when supporting the planning, delivery and assessment of learning tasks
- Undertake regular observations and contribute to the delivery of the children’s learning under the direction of teachers and colleagues
- Demonstrate a commitment to raising standards
- Demonstrate creative flair to make learning memorable, enjoyable and purposeful
- Show a clear understanding of continuous and enhanced provision
- Set high expectations of behaviour and learning for all
- Reflect on own practice and be keen to develop further
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Be a team player and thrive on the challenges of working in a fully inclusive school
