Salary: Grade 4-6 - grade dependent on experience (£25,583 - £31,022)

Hours: 32.5 per week (8:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday)

38 weeks per year (term time only)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a temporary, full-time role from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027 with a view to a permanent role from September 2027.

This is a varied role which involves working with children from across school, supporting children in class, groups and leading interventions as directed by the SENCO/class teacher.

The successful candidate must: -

  • have previous experience of working with primary aged children and those with special educational need (preferrable)
  • have a minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant and or Level 3 EYFS qualification
  • be highly motivated and committed to working as part of a team
  • create a calm, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued
  • be passionate about delivering creative, nature-connected learning
  • have excellent interpersonal skills
  • have the ability to act on their own initiative
  • be committed to the vision and values of our school
  • have a child-centred approach to their work
  • have excellent verbal and written communication skill at all levels (with children, staff and parents/carers)
  • have a good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos
  • be able to present as a positive role model
  • demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and maintaining confidentiality at all times
  • be able to work independently but also as part of a team
