Teaching Assistant Inclusive of SEND

The children, staff, Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic, creative and professional temporary Teaching Assistant who is inclusive of children with Special Needs to work across school.

We are looking for a passionate teaching assistant who is happy to support and promote our school vision and Christian values, and maintain the high expectations of our successful one-form entry church school.

We are looking for an individual to join our team who: -

• Have a minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant Qualification or the equivalent experience.
• Have a good standard of English and numeracy, GCSE grade A to C or equivalent in both subject areas.
• An understanding of SEND and who has experience of supporting in class and delivering learning activities to pupils (English, Phonics, Maths and specified intervention programmes recommended on an EHCP) assessing progress and providing accurate feedback to the class teacher and SEND Co.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles, make learning fun and exciting.
• Provide individual and small group support to students, focusing on their individual learning goals.
• Has the ability to work with outside agencies.
• Demonstrates a high expectation of achievement and behaviour and has a positive approach to behaviour management.
• Has excellent inter personal and communication skills and is committed to working as part of a team.
• Is committed to playing an active role in the whole life of the school.
• Monitor and track student progress.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and carers, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
