We are recruiting an ALN Teaching Assistant Level 3 at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 32.5 hours

Working Weeks: 39 Weeks
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed term until 30th April 2028
Location: Bryn Primary School

We are seeking a committed and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Bryn Primary School.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a team of adults to support pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN), ensuring inclusive and effective learning experiences. The role includes overseeing some individual planning, organising timetables, and coordinating the use of resources and learning spaces to maximise impact. The postholder will be actively involved in monitoring and reviewing Individual Development Plans (IDPs), helping to identify progress and ensure appropriate Additional Learning Provision (ALP) is implemented to meet learners’ needs.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or experience.
  • Full working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation.
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.
