We are recruiting Teacher Assistants Level 1 at Trinity Fields School and Resource Centre.

Working hours: 32.5 Hours per week

We pay an attractive salary of £19,763.90 - £20,077.55 Grade 4 (SCP 5-6) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Learning together in a changing world creating, SUCCESS for all. Trinity Fields is a special school for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years, with severe and complex needs. We serve the County Borough of Caerphilly as well as having some pupils from neighbouring authorities. Trinity Fields is highly regarded by parents/carers and professionals alike. We have recently been inspected by Estyn (June 2019) who judged us to be EXCELLENT in all 5 inspection areas. This is a very exciting time for the school as we develop formal partnerships with the local authority and mainstream schools with specialist resource bases in order to improve the outcomes for pupils with ALN across the County Borough.

These posts could either be at the main site or at one of our satellite provisions. We are committed to providing a highly individualised and inclusive education to all our pupils, with an emphasis upon meeting their individual needs and developing their strengths and interests within a highly supportive and engaging learning environment. For the role, we ask that you have:

  • NVQ 2 Qualification in Education or Childcare or equivalent.
  • Basic understanding of :relevant policies, codes of practice and relevant legislation: national curriculum, Foundation Phase, 14-19 Learning Pathways, as relevant to the post; the needs of pupils with a range of SEN including ASD and challenging behaviours.
