We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant to join the dedicated team at Poulton Lancelyn Primary School to assist with teaching and learning in Year 2.

This role will be primarily to support a specific, high-attaining child with learning and to support with transition periods. The child requires support to process information and develop social skills through activities such as social stories, play-based learning, processing games and nurture activities. 1-2 afternoons per week will be dedicated to other group support.

We require a caring, committed individual who has the ability to work as part of the school team and inspire trust and confidence in children. We are looking for a teaching assistant with experience who:
Can demonstrate outstanding classroom practice
Has high expectations of children, behaviour and personal development
Has a passion for supporting the needs of all children
Has a positive outlook and loves developing children's learning

The current vacancy is for 5 days, Monday to Friday, working from 8:45am to 3.45pm. Initially, this is a fixed term contract with the possibility of extending this beyond the academic year based on SEND funding.
