Part time 32.50 Hours per week - 39 Weeks per year

Fixed term to 31/08/2026 with a view to permanency

Mount Primary School is looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and hardworking key stage 1 team.. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is also confident in providing high-quality general classroom support.


The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children can flourish.


Key Responsibilities:

* Provide support across the whole class to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons.
* Assist in adapting resources and activities to meet the needs of all learners.
* Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
* Help with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo and external professionals.
* Contribute to the wellbeing and personal development of all pupils.


We are looking for someone who:

* Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
* Has recent experience in a KS1 setting, including work with children with SEND.
* Understands inclusive practices and how to differentiate support effectively.
* Is proactive, flexible and a team player.
* Communicates clearly and positively with both children and adults.
* Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the needs of all pupils.
