Mount Primary School is looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our friendly and hardworking team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who is also confident in providing high-quality general classroom support.
The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all children can flourish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils with identified SEND, following individual learning plans
- Assist in adapting resources and activities to meet the needs of all learners
- Support the teacher in managing behaviour and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo, and external professionals
- Contribute to the wellbeing and personal development of all pupils
- Provide support across the whole class to help deliver engaging and accessible lessons
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Has recent experience in a primary setting, including work with children with SEND
- Understands inclusive practices and how to differentiate support effectively
- Is proactive, flexible, and a team player
- Communicates clearly and positively with both children and adults
- Has a strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting the needs of all pupils

Salary range
- £20,359 - £20,684 per year
