Fixed Term Contract until 31st August 2026
WBC Grade 4 Point 6 to 7 £25,989 to £26,483 (pro-rata Term Time only plus 1 week)
Hours per week: 32.5 (8.30am to 3.30pm) 30 Minutes for Lunch
We are seeking x2 caring, motivated and resilient Teaching Assistants with Specialist SEN Training/Experience to support children with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, Autism, and Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties, within our inclusive primary school.
You will work closely with class teachers, the SENDCo and external professionals to provide tailored support that enables pupils to engage positively with learning and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- - Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN, including ADHD,Autism and behavioural needs
- - Implement individual support plans, behaviour strategies and sensory regulation approaches
- - Support pupils with emotional regulation, communication and social skills
- - Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles
- - Promote positive behaviour and independence in line with school policies
- - Monitor progress and contribute to reviews, meetings and record-keeping
- - Maintain a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- - Experience supporting children with a range of SEN in a primary school setting
- - Training or experience in ADHD, Autism, SEMH and behaviour support
- - A calm, patient and consistent approach
- - The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children
- - Strong communication and teamwork skills
- - A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- - GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
