We are recruiting a Teaching Assistant Level 4 at Waunfawr Primary School.

Working hours: 32.5

Working Weeks TTO: 39 Weeks
Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31st August 2027

We pay an attractive salary of £27,357.20 (FTE £35,412) and offer access to training and development opportunities.

Waunfawr Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in Key Stage 2, delivering PPA and management cover and supporting teaching and learning across the school. Experience of wellbeing interventions, Forest School/outdoor learning, and supporting pupils’ emotional development is highly desirable. We are looking for someone committed to our school community, willing to engage with families, contribute to pupil voice groups, and support the wider life of the school.

This post is fixed term for one year initially, with potential to extend subject to funding and school needs.

For the role, we ask that you have:

  • Relevant Level 4 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales. For example Higher Level Teaching Assistant or experience.
  • Level 2 qualifications on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales in numeracy and literacy. For example NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
  • Full working knowledge of relevant polices/codes of practice/legislation and awareness of relevant legislation.
