Teaching Assistant with Speech and Language Specialism (Primary) - 32.5 hours per week
39 weeks per year
Grade: 5 Teaching Assistant- Permanent
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to work mornings in class and afternoons delivering Speech and Language interventions, as well as other interventions as the need arises.
The morning role will involve working closely with the class teachers and other teaching assistants within the school and will include planning and preparation of resources and supporting small groups or individuals. There may also be a requirement to teach a Read Write Inc phonics group.
During afternoon sessions, the successful candidate will support pupils with communication difficulties on a one-to-one or small group basis, following care plans provided to you.

Experience of promoting children’s speech and language skills would be beneficial, as well as knowledge and understanding of phonics interventions.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a commitment to enriching the learning experience for our pupils. We are looking for someone who will engage themselves with the children.
