You will be flexible and understand the combination of pressure and sheer joy that comes from working in a primary school! You will be committed to children of all abilities and backgrounds. Experience working with groups of children to support their English and Maths is an advantage, as is any experience supporting children with SEND.

You will need boundless energy, patience, understanding, natural kindness, clear communication skills (both verbal and written) and a willingness to pull together in crucial team work. Our Christian Values of Learn Love, Laugh are central to our school community and we expect our staff to model and advocate these at all times.

If you fit this criteria and feel you can take a pro-active role in helping our children (and staff) to thrive in school and to be the best they can be then we would love to hear from you. Please include the following in your application:

•why you are interested in the role

•what you believe makes an excellent Teaching Assistant

•what experience you bring to the role (including specific experience with groups and/or children with SEND)

•any additional strengths or interests you may have that would contribute to the community of our school and the experiences we could provide children

•why you believe you are the right person for the role – referencing the criteria mentioned above for the ideal candidate

The position is to commence as soon as possible and initially runs to 31/12/2026 with a possibility to extend. The Closing Date for this role will be Friday 9th October and interview dates will be confirmed with the successful applicants.

The MOJ’s guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the Exceptions Order 1975, provides information about which convictions must be declared during job applications and related exceptions and further information about filtering offences can be found in the DBS filtering guide.
